A very troubling tale of a girl at thirteen losing control of her life. Although very good, “Thirteen” was an unrelatable tale to me. I asked my mother, an 8th Grade teacher assistant, about it and seh said that this happens very often, which shocked me. It’s a good cautionary tale that parents and children should sit together and watch to open some dialog with each other. Partial based on Nikki Reed’s life this is very good story. Evan Rachel Wood brings in a great performance pulling the wool over Holly Hunters’ eyes. This one should not be missed.
Who has it worst at thirteen, boys or girls?
